A Message to the Young Lions
Dear Young Lions,
Greetings to all of you.
With my deepest adoration and love, I write to you today. It feels like yesterday when we met in Jacksonville for our Annual Conference, and yet here we are, about to begin a new year. While reflecting on this past year, the Lord reminded me of what He said when asked about His disciples and this world.
“They don’t belong to the world any more than I belong to the world. Use the truth to make them holy. Your words are truth.”
John 17:16-17
All of us who were in Him before the foundation of the world do not belong to this system; however, that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy the journey. Our physical bodies are not our true selves, but they must be properly maintained to receive the Truth from His Spirit. This means we should get plenty of exercise, drink spring water, eat “real” food, and embrace life. Remember, the earth is yours to enjoy as you like, but don’t confuse that enjoyment with the world system.
Many people believe “holiness” is what you do but Jesus said truth is the secret sauce. Then He said “His words” are truth but that is not limited to scriptures in the Bible. NO, each of us are the New Testament not the letters in the Bible.
I am currently finishing a book titled *The New Testament Is You*. I trust it will help many people understand the truth that our lives reflect our beliefs. We have all been taught that the New Testament begins with Matthew and ends with Revelation.
That belief is incorrect and misleading because God is a God of covenant. The disciples established their covenant with the risen Christ, and their testimonies are found in the letters they wrote. Anyone who enters into a covenant with Him becomes part of the new covenant and will have even greater testimonies.
Throughout history, the church has often embraced Paul’s teachings over Christ’s, focusing more on grace than the transformative message of resurrection. While Paul’s message beautifully conveys salvation, it can unintentionally leave people longing for Jesus to return. Let’s celebrate the fullness of Christ’s resurrection together, encouraging everyone to embrace both grace and the resurrection life that disconnects us from this world and its system.
I have incredible faith in your generation’s passion to challenge the status quo! You’re brave and ready to venture down uncharted paths, and I promise you, those adventures will be rewarding. Remember, everything you seek has already been accomplished by God! Let this belief blossom within you as you embrace His love and cherish the greatness of His work. The future is bright with endless possibilities—go out and seize it!
I truly hope you cherish this letter and revisit it whenever you need a little encouragement. Remember to stay faithful to your calling, even if it seems uncertain. His love empowers you to achieve anything! I’m sending you so much love and can’t wait to reconnect next summer in beautiful Jacksonville for our 2025 Annual Conference! (Visit our calendar for more information coming soon)
Until then, stay IN HIM.
