Hebrews 2:9  “But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.”

 Just me?

Everyone, He tasted death for EVERYONE.

So, every creature, every person born on this planet, He’s tasted what your greatest fear is, and He’s still standing, and He’s still ruling.

Hebrews 2:13-14 “And again: ‘I will put My trust in Him.’ And again: ‘Here am I and the children whom God has given Me.’ Inasmuch then, as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself (that’s Jesus) likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,”

The who? Wait a minute, I thought the devil was wrecking my life! Wait a minute, the devil did that to me? Wait a minute, what’s going on here?

Jesus says, “I destroyed the devil.” So, we don’t have a crutch anymore, do we?  So, we’re recognizing now that we have the responsibility for our situations. It’s not the devil that’s doing it.

Hebrews 2:15 “And release those who through the fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.”

Jesus just kicked the crutches out from all of us.
