John 1:5
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
Luke 11:34
“The eye is the lamp of the body. When your eyes are healthy, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy, your body also is full of darkness.”
Isaiah 26:3

Reflection
Whatever we focus on determines our awareness, and our awareness determines the measure of light in which we live. We can choose to focus on the small point of darkness represented by the limitations of this world, or we can behold the immensity, beauty, and magnificence of the Kingdom of God. Wherever our focus is, there the orientation of our heart will also be established.
Jesus taught that the eye is the lamp of the body. The way we see affects our entire life. When we learn to look from the perspective of the Kingdom and see circumstances as God sees them, our inner being begins to be filled with light. Awareness of heaven transforms the way we think, react, and live. What occupies our vision ultimately shapes our experience.
Scripture declares that the light shines in the darkness and that the darkness cannot overcome it. Darkness does not have the power to defeat light. Wherever God’s light is manifested, fear loses its dominion, hopelessness retreats, and lies are exposed. The victory of the Kingdom does not come from the greatness of darkness, but from the superiority of light.
Many times we think that our greatest weapons are the things God gives us to fight the enemy. Yet one of the greatest strengths of a child of God is learning to see from heaven’s perspective. Kingdom vision produces peace, faith, and discernment. When our eyes are filled with God’s light, we cease to be governed by appearances and begin to live from eternal realities.
The greatest victory is not found in becoming obsessed with darkness, but in remaining connected to the source of light. Light always prevails. The more we learn to see as heaven sees, the more we participate in the peace, wisdom, and power of the Kingdom of God. Kingdom awareness produces a life full of light, and where the light shines, darkness cannot remain.
Meditation for Today
Where is my focus set: on the limitations of this world or on the greatness of the Kingdom of God?
Am I allowing my awareness to be shaped by the light of heaven?
Am I learning to see circumstances from God’s perspective?
Prayer
Father, thank You because Your light shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot overcome it. Thank You for calling me to live from the reality of Your Kingdom and not from the limitations of this world.
Teach me to keep my eyes fixed on You and to see all things from Your perspective. Renew my awareness and fill my whole being with Your light. May fear, lies, and every form of darkness lose their influence as I remain united with You. Let my life reflect the peace, faith, and wisdom that come from heaven. Teach me to see as You see and to walk each day in the fullness of Your light. Amen.
Blessings beloved
