Genesis 1:26-28
"Then God said, 'Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.' So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, 'Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over them...'"
Psalm 8:4-6
"What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? You made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor. You made them rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet."
Hebrews 2:8-9
"You have put all things under his feet. For in subjecting all things to him, he left nothing that is not subject to him. Yet at present we do not see all things subjected to him. But we do see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor..."
1 Corinthians 15:27
"For he has put all things under his feet."
Revelation 1:6
"And has made us to be a kingdom and priests to his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever. Amen."
Reflection: There is a unity in the Heavenly Kingdom between the luminaries, the living beings, and how they operate in the heavens and on earth to rule and govern.
This is not a disorganized or chaotic structure. It is a perfectly coordinated celestial government. The luminaries execute a governing verb, the living beings operate under the Rachia where the throne resides, and all function in unity to manifest the divine will both in the heavens and on earth.
This is the order established by God: a celestial government operating in perfect harmony, directly connected to the throne, executing the King's will.
Now, to whom did God give dominion and rule over all things?
This is the fundamental question that reveals our original purpose and our eternal destiny.
In the beginning, He gave it to Adam.
God created man in His own image and likeness and gave him dominion over all creation. He crowned him with glory and honor, made him ruler over the works of His hands, and put all things under his feet.
Adam was established as an earthly ruler connected to the celestial government. He was to operate from his celestial nature, aligned with God's Rachia, executing divine rule on earth. But Adam lost that connection in the Fall.
Dominion was perverted, government was handed over to the enemy, and the connection to the Holy Spirit was severed. Man was separated from his heavenly nature, disconnected from the throne, and unable to exercise the rule for which he was created.
Then came Jesus Christ.
The second Adam, the Son of Man, came to restore what had been lost. Jesus operated perfectly from His heavenly nature, fully connected to the Holy Spirit where the throne resides, exercising divine government with absolute authority.
And He didn’t just restore dominion to Himself. He made us kings and priests to God. He seated us with Him in heavenly places. He gave us authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy.
The dominion and kingdom of God are intimately linked to understanding my heavenly nature.
Here is the profound key: I cannot exercise the dominion God gave me if I don’t understand my heavenly nature. I cannot rule from a limited earthly perspective. I cannot exercise spiritual authority if I am disconnected from the Root where the throne resides.
God’s government does not operate from the flesh. It operates from the spirit. It is not exercised from our fallen nature. It is exercised from our restored heavenly nature in Christ.
When I understand that I have a heavenly body established before the foundation of the world, that I am seated in heavenly places with Christ, that my star shines in the Root of God, that the lights and living beings operate in union with me to rule and govern, then I can exercise the dominion for which I was created.
Adam received dominion but lost it. Christ fully restored it. And now, in Him, we exercise it from our heavenly nature, aligned with the Root, connected to the throne, operating in union with the heavenly government.
Meditation for Today
Take a moment to reflect:
Do I understand my heavenly nature, or do I only see myself from my earthly limitations? Am I exercising the dominion God gave me, or am I subject to circumstances and powers that Christ has already defeated? Do I operate from my connection to the Holy Spirit, where the throne is, or only from my natural perspective?
Ask the Lord to reveal to you the full understanding of your heavenly nature so that you can exercise the dominion and rule He has given you.
Prayer
Father, I acknowledge that You gave dominion to Adam in the beginning, and that Jesus Christ fully restored it.
Now, in Christ, You have made me king and priest, You have given me authority, You have seated me in heavenly places.
I activate the understanding of my heavenly nature because I know that the dominion and kingdom of God are intimately linked to this revelation.
Connect me fully to the Holy Spirit, where Your throne is; align me with the lights and living beings that operate in the heavens and on earth to rule and govern.
May I operate from my heavenly nature, not from my earthly limitations. May I exercise the dominion You have given me, not in my own strength, but from my position in Christ.
May all things be placed under my feet, for I am in Him who has all dominion and authority.
May my life manifest God’s rule on earth, operating from the heavenly union You established from the beginning.
Amen.
