There is a very clear scripture that distinguishes between what is a child and what is a Son, found in Isaiah chapter 9. It says: “But there will be no more gloom for those who were in anguish; in the past, He humbled the land of Zabulon and the land of Neftali, but in the future, He will honor Galilee of the nations, by the Way of the Sea, beyond the Jordan. The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death, a light has dawned.” Then verse 6 says: “For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Here we see the difference between a child and a Son.
Obviously, every spirit that comes from God can be considered a little child of God or a little one of God. It is like when a woman is pregnant; while she is pregnant, she says, “It’s my child,” she even gives it a name and buys clothes for it, even though it is still in a fetal state. When the child starts to grow, he does not yet have the characteristics of the Father. It is when the child begins to mature that he searches for his identity in the Father until the Father’s image is formed in him.
Then Jesus said, “It is not I who does the works; the Father in me is the one who does the works.” The disciples said to Him, “Show us the Father.” And Jesus responded, “Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.” Thus, there is a difference between the child who knows that this is his daddy, “Oh, Abba, daddy, Abba, Father,” and the Jesus of twelve years old who said, “I must be about my Father’s business.” However, at that age, Jesus did not fully manifest the Father. He had the characteristics of the Father; obviously, He had the Father’s DNA and the Father’s blood running in Him, but it was not until His baptism that the Father declared: “Now you have moved from being a child to having my nature, my nature as the Son.”
It is then that the Father is formed in the Son, giving Him His image. This is what distinguishes a child from a Son: carrying the image of the Father. When people say, “He is the son of a tiger; look, like father, like son,” the characteristics of the father are already evident in the person; he is already a true manifestor, having the image of God in him. Then the Father declares, “Now you are my beloved Son.” And what is the first thing He will do? He will confront the gates of hell and go to the desert to confront the devil, because that light, which the people who walked in darkness saw, is because a Son is given to us.
In the midst of the darkness of this world, in anguish, searching here and there, feeling like a little one, one remains in the darkness until the great light shines and the Father declares over you: “You are a Son of God.” A Son of God with power; the nature of the Father has been fully formed in you, and now you can face the gates of hell.
This is how God created Adam. Adam was the first Son, and Jesus is the Last Adam, created in the image of God, in the image of the Father. Thus, the Son, as a designation from the Father, begins as a little child of God and then becomes a named Son of God. Amen. This is the one who has the power; the government is upon His shoulders. It says: “He is Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Here we see that the Son has now become the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. There is a whole royal instruction and a governing instruction that has been established in Jesus Christ, who can manifest the Father, and the Father begins to do the works of Christ.
