Ephesians 6:11
“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.”
Colossians 3:1-2
“If then you have been raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.”
Reflection
We live in a world where systems, ideologies, and powers continually produce fear, uncertainty, and confusion. Scripture teaches us that our primary struggle is not against people or human structures, but against spiritual forces that seek to turn mankind away from truth, hope, and the life of the Kingdom of God. Therefore, God calls us to remain alert and not to be ignorant of the enemy’s schemes.
However, the purpose of this vigilance is not to live obsessed with the works of darkness. The enemy will always attempt to magnify fear and make the problems of the earth appear greater than the Kingdom of God. But when we behold the greatness of heaven, we discover that no strategy of evil can compare with the power, wisdom, and sovereignty of the Lord.
God’s response for His children is not panic, but a heavenly perspective. We are called to keep our eyes fixed on Christ and on His Kingdom. While the world is filled with uncertainty, the sons and daughters of God are called to walk in peace, discernment, and confidence, knowing that the Father continues to reign and that His eternal purposes cannot be frustrated.
The enemy’s schemes are real, but they are not supreme. The Kingdom of God is infinitely greater. When we keep our minds on things above, faith replaces fear and hope overcomes despair. Our security does not rest in the systems of this world, but in the King who reigns above them all.
Meditation for Today
Am I allowing fear and the news of this world to govern my heart?
Am I more focused on the works of the enemy or on the greatness of the Kingdom of God?
Am I cultivating a heavenly perspective in the midst of earthly uncertainties?
Prayer
Father, thank You because You reign above every circumstance and every power that operates in this world. Help me to discern the enemy’s schemes without living under the control of fear or anxiety.
Keep my eyes fixed on Your Kingdom and on Your greatness. May my heart remain steadfast in the hope and peace that come from You. Teach me to live with a heavenly perspective, trusting that Your purposes will prevail and that no work of darkness can compare with Your glory and Your power. Amen.
Blessings beloved
