Ephesians 1:9-10
“Having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him.”
Colossians 2:9-10
“For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.”
Hebrews 12:22-23
“But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven.”
Reflection
From the beginning, the Father’s purpose has been to unite all things in Christ. Heaven and earth were not created to remain separated, but to operate together under the lordship of Jesus Christ. The mystery of His will is precisely this union: that heavenly and earthly realities would find their harmony and fulfillment in the Son.
Everything that belongs to heaven is contained in Christ Jesus. In Him dwells all the fullness of God, and nothing that belongs to the Kingdom is separate from His person. Jesus is not separated from Mount Zion, from the New Jerusalem, or from the eternal realities of the Kingdom. Everything the Father has prepared is contained in His Son and revealed through Him.
For this reason, when Christ comes to dwell in the heart of a believer, we do not simply receive a doctrine or a religious experience. We receive the very life of the Kingdom. The One in whom all the fullness of God dwells makes His home within us through the Holy Spirit. The presence of Christ within us is the assurance that the realities of heaven are far closer than we have often imagined.
The New Jerusalem is not separate from Christ, for it exists in the light of the Lamb. Mount Zion, the fellowship of the saints, and the life of the Kingdom all find their center in Him. Therefore, our security is not found in a physical place or a future experience, but in the Person of Jesus Christ. Everything that heaven contains is summed up in Him, and through our union with Him we partake of His life and His inheritance.
The hope of the Gospel is Christ in us. Wherever He dwells, heaven begins to manifest. Wherever He reigns, eternal realities begin to become visible. For everything that exists in heaven has been gathered by the Father in His beloved Son.
Meditation for Today
Do I understand that Christ in me is the hope of glory and the fullness of the Kingdom?
Am I seeking the realities of heaven in the Person of Jesus Christ?
Am I living aware that the Lord has made my heart His dwelling place?
Prayer
Father, thank You because according to Your good pleasure You have gathered all things in Christ Jesus. Thank You because all fullness dwells in Your Son, and You have chosen to make my heart Your dwelling place.
Open my eyes to behold the riches of what it means to have Christ living within me. Teach me to live united to Him and to seek in His person all the realities of Your Kingdom. May my life become an expression of Your presence, and may the glory of heaven be manifested through the union You have established in Your beloved Son. Amen.
Blessings beloved
