“And just as we have borne the image of the earthly, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.”
Reflection
There is a heavenly body above us.
This is not a poetic figure or a religious metaphor. It is a profound spiritual reality: we were created with a heavenly dimension, a spiritual being that transcends our physical existence.
This heavenly body is our being from before the foundation of the world.
Before we manifested ourselves on earth, before we were formed in the womb, before time began, God established us as beings of light in His eternal design. Our heavenly identity precedes and surpasses our earthly identity.
Note that when Jesus is born on earth, the first thing the magi see is the star of Jesus.
His heavenly manifestation was visible before His physical manifestation was recognized by the nations. The magi did not come because someone told them of the birth, but because they saw His star in the east. The heavenly dimension of Christ was tangibly manifested in the firmament.
We also see Him referred to as the Sun of righteousness.
Jesus is not just another luminary. He is the Sun that rules, that brings salvation on His wings, that illuminates all that exists. Just as the luminaries execute a verb of government, Christ is the supreme Luminary who rules over every principality and power.
The living beings above their heads have a Raquia and the dimension of God’s throne.
Ezekiel saw this amazing revelation: above the heads of the living beings there was an expanse, a crystal firmament, and above that firmament was the throne of God. This is the structure of heavenly government.
The throne of God in the firmament above the living creatures is what connects them directly to the will of the throne.
They do not operate independently. They do not act on their own initiative. They are under the firmament where the throne is, and from that connection they execute the divine will with absolute precision.
This is the same connection that we must have.
Just as the living creatures are under the firmament where the throne is, so we, as children of God established in heavenly places, must be directly connected to the will of the throne.
Our star, our heavenly body, our being from before the foundation of the world, must be aligned with God’s throne in the firmament so that we can execute His government on earth.
When we are connected to the throne through the heavenly Raquia, we do not operate from our human will or our earthly limitations. We operate from the perspective of the throne, executing the divine will with the authority that comes from above.
Just as Jesus had His visible star and was called the Sun of righteousness, we too are called to shine as lights connected to the throne, manifesting God’s government on earth.
Meditation for today
Take a moment to reflect:
Do I recognize that I have a heavenly body, an identity established before the foundation of the world? Am I connected to the throne of God through the heavenly Raquia, or do I only operate from my earthly perspective? Does my star shine, reflecting the will of the throne?
Ask the Lord to activate your connection to the throne, to align your heavenly being with His will, and to position you under the Raquia where His government is executed.
Prayer
Father, I recognize that there is a heavenly body above me, a being established before the foundation of the world.
Just as the star of Jesus was visible in the east, so You have placed my star in the firmament of Your eternal purpose.
Connect me directly to the will of the throne through the heavenly firmament.
Just as the living beings operate under the firmament where Your throne is, so may I operate completely aligned with Your will, executing Your government on earth.
Activate in me the heavenly dimension for which I was created, that my earthly identity may submit to my heavenly identity, and that I may shine as a light connected to the throne.
May my life reflect the Sun of righteousness, may my existence manifest Your government, and may I execute Your will with authority and truth from the heavenly places where I am seated with Christ.
