“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.”
Reflection
In Christ dwells all the fullness of God, and Scripture declares that we have been made complete in Him. This truth transforms the way we understand our lives. Our identity is no longer defined by fear, lack, or the limitations of this world, but by the fullness we have received in Jesus Christ.
Yet this truth must move beyond intellectual knowledge and become the reality that governs the way we live. Faith matures when it ceases to be merely a doctrinal conviction and becomes a daily confidence in the sufficiency of Christ. It is then that we begin to experience the freedom, peace, and security that flow from His Kingdom.
The Word also reminds us that we once followed the course of this world, but now we have been called to walk as children of light. Believers no longer live according to the patterns of a world separated from God, but according to the new life they have received through Christ. A transformed heart produces a transformed way of thinking, making decisions, and living.
God invites us each day to remain grounded in the reality of His Kingdom. The more aware we become of who we are in Christ, the less control fear, anxiety, and the false securities of this world have over us. Our strength does not come from our circumstances, but from the One in whom all fullness dwells and who has made us partakers of His life.
Meditation for Today
Am I living from the fullness I have in Christ, or from the limitations of this world?
Does the way I think reflect the identity God has given me?
Am I walking each day as a child of light?
Prayer
Father, thank You that in Christ You have made me complete and given me a new identity. Thank You that Your fullness is sufficient to sustain me in every circumstance and that You have called me to live as a child of light.
Renew my mind so that I may leave behind every way of thinking that does not come from You. Teach me to live with the security, peace, and confidence that come from abiding in Your Kingdom. May I reflect the life of Christ each day and walk in the freedom that He has won for me.
