Or suppose a king is about to go to war against another king. Won’t he first sit down and consider whether he is able with ten thousand men to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand?”

Reflection
After the crushing in the wilderness comes another equally important process: allowing God to shape us again. Brokenness is not meant to destroy us, but to remove everything that prevents us from becoming useful instruments for the Kingdom. The wilderness empties the natural man so God can raise someone capable of standing face to face with Pharaoh.
Moses came out of the wilderness different. He no longer trusted in his natural abilities, position, or reasoning. He had learned dependence, gentleness, and obedience. God had formed in him the flexibility necessary to be completely led by His voice.
Jesus taught that whoever wants to build a tower must first count the cost, and whoever goes to war must consider the strength of the enemy. Following Christ means understanding that this calling requires surrender, perseverance, and deep transformation. It is not a superficial path; it is spiritual formation where God prepares warriors able to stand firm in the middle of battle.
Many times we want authority without process, victory without formation, and conquest without surrender. But God first works within the inner man before entrusting greater assignments. Only those who accept being reshaped after brokenness will be able to stand before Pharaoh without retreating.
Meditation for Today
Am I allowing God to reshape me after seasons of brokenness?
Have I truly understood the cost and depth of following Christ?
Am I willing to be completely transformed in order to sustain the assignment God has for me?
Prayer
Father, thank You for the wilderness processes that have broken my natural strength. Now I ask You to shape me again according to Your design and purpose. Remove every resistance and teach me to depend completely on You.
Give me understanding to comprehend the cost of following You and the maturity to stand firm in the middle of battle. Make me flexible in Your hands and prepare my life to confront what You have called me to overcome. Let me not retreat before Pharaoh, but walk with the authority and obedience that come from being formed by You. Amen.
