1 Thessalonians 5:23 “May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
3 John 1:2 “Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.”
Proverbs 14:30 “A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.”
Proverbs 17:22 “A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”
James 2:26 “As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.”
Romans 8:11 “And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.”
Reflection
We must understand that body, soul and spirit are completely interconnected.
They are not three separate entities operating independently. They are an integrated unit. What affects the spirit affects the soul. What affects the soul affects the body. And vice versa. God sanctifies us completely: spirit, soul and body.
And in fact, the condition of your body is the condition of your spirit as well.
This is a profound truth that many ignore. We think we can have a prosperous spirit while the body deteriorates, but Scripture reveals otherwise. John wrote: “I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.”
The health of the body is connected to the prosperity of the soul. The condition of the spirit is reflected in the condition of the body.
You can see the prophetic and spiritual realm, but that is only what you see, NOT WHAT YOU ARE.
Many have prophetic gifts, see visions, receive revelations, operate in the spiritual realm. But that is a function, not your complete identity. It’s what you do, not what you are.
What you are is reflected in your body.
Your true spiritual condition, the reality of your connection with resurrection life, the manifestation of the Spirit dwelling in you, all of this must be reflected in your physical body.
If the Spirit who raised Christ from the dead dwells in you, that Spirit must give life to your mortal body. Not just your ability to see visions, but the health, vitality, life that flows in your flesh.
There is a great difference between what I see and what I am.
I can see God’s throne in vision, but if my body is sick, weak, deteriorated, that reveals there is a disconnection between what I see and what I am. The goal is not just to see the spiritual realm, but to manifest the reality of that realm in my entire being: spirit, soul and body.
God wants us to prosper in all things, including physical health. Because we are a complete unit, and what we truly are is reflected in our body.
Meditation for Today
Is there a disconnection between what I see spiritually and what I am physically? Do I understand that the condition of my body reflects the condition of my spirit? Am I allowing the Spirit to give life to my entire being, not just my spiritual gifts?
Prayer
Father, I acknowledge that my body, soul and spirit are completely interconnected, and that the condition of my body reflects the condition of my spirit.
I don’t want to only see the spiritual realm, I want to manifest the reality of that realm in all that I am.
May the Spirit who raised Christ from the dead give life to my mortal body, not just my spiritual gifts.
Heal the disconnection between what I see and what I am, and may my entire being, spirit, soul and body, prosper in Your life.
May my body reflect the glory that is already here, manifesting divine health, vitality and resurrection life in my flesh.
Amen.
Blessings beloved
