John 1:4-5 “In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
John 8:12 “When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.'”
Colossians 1:13 “For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves.”
1 John 1:5-7 “This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.”
Proverbs 4:18 “The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.”
Reflection
Darkness brings death, where there is darkness we will find disease.
Darkness is not simply absence of physical light. It is a spiritual power that operates bringing death, disease, deterioration. Where darkness rules, life withers, health fades, death finds territory.
Darkness is not being in the light, it is not understanding the light.
It’s not just an external state, but an internal condition. It is living disconnected from the source of life, operating from fallen understanding, walking without revelation. Darkness is spiritual ignorance that produces physical and emotional death.
Wherever there is light there is wisdom, where there is light there is life.
Light doesn’t just illuminate, it also imparts wisdom, knowledge, understanding. And where there is true understanding, there is life. Light cannot be separated from life, because they are the same essence manifested in different dimensions.
He is the life and the life is the light of men.
Jesus doesn’t just bring life or teach about life. He is life itself. And that life that He is manifests as light for men. When we receive His life, we receive His light. When we walk in His light, we walk in His life.
When I leave the darkness and enter the Kingdom of Light I enter the Life of the living Christ.
It’s not a gradual or partial change. It is a complete transfer from one kingdom to another. God has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of His beloved Son. We leave the domain of death and enter the domain of life.
This transfer is not just positional or theoretical. It is real and must manifest in our entire being. When we truly enter the Kingdom of Light, the darkness that brought disease is expelled, the death that operated in our body is displaced, the life of the living Christ manifests in our mortal flesh.
The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. We don’t retreat toward darkness. We advance toward greater light, greater life, greater manifestation of the Father’s glory.
Meditation for Today
Have I truly left the darkness or do I still allow darkness to rule areas of my life? Do I walk in the light as He is in the light, or do I live in darkness that brings disease and death?
Prayer
Father, I acknowledge that darkness brings death and disease, and that where there is light there is wisdom and life.
I declare that You have rescued me from the dominion of darkness and brought me into the Kingdom of Light.
I completely leave darkness and enter the Life of the living Christ.
May Your light expel all darkness from my life, may Your life displace all disease from my body, may Your wisdom illuminate all my understanding.
I walk in light as You are in light, and my path is like the morning sun that shines ever brighter till the full light of day.
May the life of Christ manifest fully in my mortal flesh, expelling all darkness, all death, all disease.
Amen.
