2 Corinthians 5:18–19
“And all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ… God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself.”
Hebrews 12:6
“For whom the Lord loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives.”
Reflection
The thought of God is love.
And within that love lives the reconciliation of all things.
God’s heart is not destructive; it is redemptive.
Even when He shakes us, even when He confronts us, even when He breaks internal structures, His intention is never to destroy you, but to reveal you.
Many times we interpret shaking as an attack from the enemy,
when in reality it is an act of profound love.
God shakes because He loves.
God breaks because He sees light trapped inside.
God confronts because He knows who you truly are.
When the Lord removes structures, habits, mentalities, or false securities,
He is not extinguishing your light.
He is removing the dross that covers it.
Malachi 3:2–3
“For He is like a refiner’s fire… He will purify… that they may offer to the Lord an offering in righteousness.”
Fire does not come to destroy the gold.
It comes to reveal its value.
Love That Shakes to Reveal
The love of God does not always feel comfortable,
but it is always true.
If we blame the devil for every discomfort,
we will never recognize the transformative work of God within us.
Spiritual maturity begins when we stop running from processes
and begin to discern the loving hand of the Father behind them.
Romans 8:28
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God…”
Even what hurts.
Even what confronts.
Even what dismantles us.
Seeing the Work of God
As long as we blame the enemy for every process,
we will remain immature.
But when we recognize the work of the Father,
our hearts surrender,
our light is released,
and our identity is established.
God is not against you.
God is for the light He placed within you.
Meditation for Today
Take a few minutes in silence and reflect:
Is there a process I have resisted because it makes me uncomfortable?
Have I blamed attacks for what is actually loving discipline?
What internal structure does God want to remove so that my light may shine more clearly?
Allow the love of God to complete its work.
Prayer
Father,
today I recognize that Your love does not only comfort,
it transforms.
Give me discernment to recognize Your hand
in the processes that shake me.
Remove from me all the dross that covers the light You placed within me.
I do not want to resist Your work;
I want to surrender to Your redemptive love.
Thank You because You do not destroy,
You reconcile.
Thank You because You do not extinguish my light,
You reveal it.
Amen.
