Romans 14:17
“For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”
Hebrews 8:10–11
“I will put My laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts… and they shall not teach everyone his fellow citizen… for they will all know Me.”
🕊️ Reflection
“The Kingdom of God is not food or drink, nor new moons or feast days.”
This statement reveals something essential:
the Kingdom of God is not manifested from the outside, but from within.
To truly understand the prophetic—and to know the mind of God—we must understand how God thought through the entire Bible, not just isolated portions.
From the beginning, God had a redemptive design.
First, He needed to form a people through whom the Messiah would come.
During that time, heaven and earth were separated because of sin.
Humanity lived distant from God.
Even priests and prophets did not have Christ dwelling within them.
The system was external: laws, sacrifices, rituals, days, and festivals.
God judged and destroyed many things because sin prevented communion.
There was no internal union.
There was no full access.
🔥 Jesus and the End of the External Era
With the coming of Jesus, everything changes.
The Mosaic era comes to an end.
God no longer requires animal sacrifices.
The altar ceases to be external.
Hebrews 9:11–12
“But when Christ appeared… He entered once for all… having obtained eternal redemption.”
Jesus inaugurates a new covenant.
Not like the former one.
Not based on stone, rituals, or outward compliance.
Hebrews 8:10
“I will put My laws into their minds, and I will write them on their hearts.”
This covenant is not learned from the outside.
It is known from within.
That is why Scripture says:
“They will all know Me.”
🧱 Salvation: More Than a Prayer
Salvation is not merely saying:
“Lord, Lord, come live in my heart.”
Salvation is entering into the new covenant with God.
It is allowing Him to govern from within.
To form His thoughts in our minds.
To establish His living law in our hearts.
The Kingdom is not about external practices,
but about an internal transformation that produces righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
🕯️ Meditation for Today
Take a few minutes and reflect:
Have I reduced the Kingdom of God to external practices or religious concepts?
Am I living from the new covenant or from old structures?
Have I allowed God to write His law on my heart, or only in my understanding?
Remain in silence before the Lord.
Allow Him to examine what is within.
🙏 Prayer
Father,
thank You that Your Kingdom does not depend on rituals or outward forms.
Today I receive the truth of the new covenant.
Write Your law in my mind and in my heart.
Lead me to know You—not through tradition, but through communion.
May my life be evidence of a Kingdom that dwells within me.
In the name of Jesus.
Amen.
